Stan has no reservations about revealing his heart through his songs and performance. In the finest tradition of the pop/rock troubadour the timbre of his soul shines through his music.
Growing up in Chicago, a first generation American, Stan's musical inclinations were evident at an early age. His family -- immigrants from Poland -- were ardent supporters of his musicality. Beginning with the accordion, he soon progressed to clarinet, tenor sax, and ultimately, the piano.
Stan honed his keyboard craft through private study and at the Sherwood Music Conservatory and the Bloom School of Jazz. In the 80's, he landed a gig playing piano, organ and alto sax with a touring country artist, and traveled the requisite highways of the U.S. and Canada in a customized bus. The experience was profound. "I fell in love with Pop music," recalls Stan, and the influence entered the craft of his writing.
Today, Stan's music neatly stitches a patchwork of influences: Pop, Jazz, Southern rock, blues and country, into an accessible musical tapestry. His vocals range from roadhouse rocker to soulful balladeer.
